Professor Pamela Zarkowski, JD, MPH, BSDH

Professor Pamela Zarkowski, JD, MPH, BSDH is currently Provost and Vice President for
Academic Affairs and a Professor in the School of Denistry at University of Detroit Mercy. An
educator for more than 45 years she teaches, writes and researches in the areas of legal and
ethical issues, leadership and oral health. She has held numerous leadership positions in dental
and dental hygiene organizations.
This one-hour course provides an update on Michigan’s Administrative Rules for
Dentistry, with emphasis on key provisions related to definitions, recordkeeping,
delegation of duties, and recent rule changes. Ethical principles and legal
responsibilities will be integrated throughout to enhance understanding of how
professional conduct and compliance intersect in clinical practice.
